PRIVACY POLICY
1. Who we are (data controller) This Privacy Policy explains how Savrano Leather, a trading name of SAVRANO GROUP LTD (company number 17290351, registered office Suite 10931 5 Brayford Square, London, United Kingdom, E1 0SG), collects and uses your personal data. We are the data controller. For any privacy question, contact us at savranoleather@gmail.com.
2. The personal data we collect
- Identity and contact data: name, email address, billing and delivery address.
- Order data: items purchased, order number, and transaction and payment-status data (we do not receive or store your full card number).
- Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, and how you interact with our Site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Marketing preferences and any messages you send us.
3. How and why we use your data (lawful bases) Under the UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Performance of a contract — to process, prepare, dispatch and deliver your order, to handle returns and refunds, and to provide customer support.
- Legal obligation — to keep tax, accounting and transaction records (for example, to meet HMRC requirements).
- Legitimate interests — to prevent and detect fraud and payment abuse, to secure and improve our Site and products, and to respond to your enquiries. We balance these interests against your rights.
- Consent — to send you marketing emails (where required) and to set non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. Payment processing Payments are processed by Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) and other providers shown at checkout (such as PayPal or Klarna). These providers process your payment data under their own privacy policies.
5. Hosting and "Enhanced Services" (Shopify) Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal data of our customers in order to provide its services to us, and information you submit to the store may be shared with Shopify and with third parties that may be located in other countries. For more information, see Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy, and details of how you may opt out of certain processing, on Shopify's website.
6. Analytics and advertising We use analytics and advertising tools, which may include Shopify analytics, Google and Meta, to understand how our Site is used and to measure marketing. These tools use cookies and similar technologies and are only deployed where you have consented (see "Cookies" below).
7. Marketing If you opt in, we may send you emails about new products, early access and brand news. Where you are an existing customer, we may send you information about similar products on the basis of the "soft opt-in", and you may opt out at any time. Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out by emailing savranoleather@gmail.com. We will stop sending marketing as soon as you ask. ICO
8. Cookies We use cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies are essential for the Site to function and do not require consent. Analytics, advertising and other non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, which you give through our cookie banner and can change or withdraw at any time. This reflects the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
9. Who we share your data with We share data only with processors and partners who help us run the business, including: Shopify (hosting); payment providers (such as Shopify Payments/Stripe, PayPal, Klarna); shipping and fulfilment partners (such as Royal Mail and DPD); email and marketing platforms; analytics and advertising platforms; and professional advisers (accounting, legal, tax). We also disclose data where required by law. We do not sell your personal data.
10. International transfers Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place — such as UK "adequacy" regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses — so your data receives a level of protection consistent with UK law.
11. How long we keep your data We keep order and transaction records for at least six years to meet UK tax and accounting obligations. We keep marketing data until you unsubscribe and for a reasonable period afterwards. We keep general enquiry correspondence for no longer than necessary.
12. Your rights Under the UK GDPR you have the right to: access your data; have inaccurate data corrected; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email savranoleather@gmail.com. We will respond within one month.
13. Complaints If you have a data protection concern, please contact us first at savranoleather@gmail.com so we can address it; we will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
14. Changes We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
